The goal of this post is simple: To provide examples of learning technology–identifying and clarifying what learning technology ‘is’ and ‘looks like’ in and out of the classroom. Education technology is the application of new tools and ideas that help teachers teach and students learn. Education technology can  automate  processes,  improve  information access,  enable  sharing of knowledge and data,  duplicate  information between media forms,  curate  important knowledge,  communicate  ideas,  visualize  critical concepts, and more. It's also called the self-awareness metacognitive theory, and learners are provided with processes that enable them to rethink their thoughts. As long as learners can identify their knowledge gap, it becomes easier for them to unlock their potential and become more productive. 2. Adaptive Learning

  Adaptive learning, or adaptive teaching, is an educational method which uses computers to interact with the learner and deliver customized resources and learning activities to address the unique needs of each learner. Computers adapt the presentation of educational material according to students' learning needs, as indicated by their responses to questions, tasks and experiences.  Adaptive learning has been partially driven by a realization that tailored learning cannot be achieved on a large-scale using traditional, non-adaptive approaches.  Adaptive learning systems endeavour to transform the learner from passive receptor of information to collaborator in the educational process. They have been designed as desktop computer applications, web applications, and are now being introduced into overall curricula.
